We do not know if the same motivation for the cruelty inflicted on Honey is the same rationale that led to the numerous stab wounds on this American Bulldog. Just like Honey, this male dog was sweet, calm and not a fighter. He was stabbed with a box-cutter, tied to a cross in a Newark cemetery, and left to die. There were several wounds in various areas of the body and it took over 150 stitches to close them.

Stitches is making wonderful progress, as you can see in his before and after photos.

The Society is offering a $1,000.00 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who perpetrated this cruelty. It may be that this well-cared for dog was either given away, picked up as a stray or stolen. We affectionately call him “Stitches” and he is in need of a loving and lasting lifetime commitment.
