The holiday season is upon us! The holiday issue of the Humane News has plenty of good news about animals and our latest rescues! Read how together we've helped many, many animals in the Holiday 2009 issue of the Humane News, Vol. 40, No.6.

Happy Endings! Some of the dogs you remember well - Wishes the Pit Bull whose leg we repaired but needed her heart mended, one of the six Dalmatian pups from 2001, Ziplock writes a letter, and Storm the Mastiff mix - all in happy homes!

As always, AHS has been active in rescuing lives and helping these animals find a new start - our cover features dogs that were mercilessly slashed and one just left by the trash in a Newark park. Now safe, on the mend - just needing you! Also needing loving homes are some new additions to our Share-A-Pet Program, and many adorable and deserving cats and dogs on the adoption pages.
