Neglected Great Dane Rescued

Max lived most of his 3 years at the end of a chain. He had very little flesh to keep his body warm, no food or water available and a shelter that gave little protection from the elements. This was his life. Society staffers visited the lot and confiscated the uncooperative Great Dane. Although his life of solitude included no care, no compassion, not even a gentle touch, he was not willing to leave the only home he knew.

A medical evaluation indicated he was loaded with intestinal parasites. Since his arrival, Max has calmed down. Complaints have been signed against the Asbury Park owner to be heard in Municipal Court. A court date has not yet been set. Max’s owner wants return of his dog and we are concerned about this Great Dane’s future. Watch this space for latest news! (Tinton Falls).
