Ember - Survived A House Fire

She really resembled an ember when she arrived at the shelter in late November. Our girl and her 12 month-old pittie sister were lucky to survive a house fire that injured their owner and made the whole family homeless.

An essential bath removed the soot, and revealed that our Ember wore a beautiful red brindle coat with striking white markings. With the resilience of youth, the girls comforted each other as the days passed. But once relocated, the family could reclaim just one sister, and Ember waits alone with a heavy heart.

There is no aggression in Ember’s vocabulary, only deep sadness at losing her sister. Ember seeks comfort in other dogs’ company, and would do well in a home with a canine friend. However, if you are that nurturing person who will strive to make Ember feel safe, and can put the smile back on her depressed face, then Ember is the girl for you! Stop in today, and lose your heart in her soulful gaze.

If interested in adopting Ember, please contact us and reference File# 88061-F (Newark)
