Welcome to the latest edition of the Humane News -- our June 2010 issue, Volume 41, No. 3.
There's so much great stuff in this issue, we don't know where to begin! Our main stories focus on how the AHS/Popcorn Park helps all species. Features are about a bird hoarder and the 427 birds we currently care for, a burned cat we've helped heal, and how we've helped a man and his horses, who faced an uncertain future when he was hospitalized. You'll love reading about our first Adopt-A-Thon and its wonderful success, as well as more Happy Endings to warm your heart.

June is Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat Month, so of course we have some special kitties waiting for your home and heart, including a kitten we rescued from cruelty just as we went to press. This is in addition to our many adoption hopefuls on our shelter dog pages. On page 23, you can see a small sampling of the many, many small animals in our facilities also waiting for loving homes.
And news? We have plenty! Special Pet Health Alerts, a section on horse news, updates you'll want to check out on vacation topics, and much more. We've also re-vamped our Junior Pages to provide kids with more to learn and do about the animals in our world and how they can help.
Don't miss it - it's all inside this issue!
