During weekdays, the industrial area in Newark where this dog was dumped is heavily traveled. Frequent visitors to the Motor Vehicle Commission's inspection station insured a steady stream of people. But on the weekends, there is virtually no traffic or activity. Some dastardly person took the opportunity to abandon this trusting pit bull. They tied his muzzle tightly shut and then to a fence in 90 degree weather to suffer and die.
How Ty was found at the MVC, photo above.
A woman and her son who were riding past the area saw the dog and immediately drove to the Society’s Newark facility to register a complaint. Society Newark Shelter Supervisor, Zaire Johnson, went to the scene without delay and saw a dog that needed immediate rescue. When Zaire approached the young pit bull, the dog was gleefully excited that someone had come to release him from this imprisonment. The heartless person who did this took pleasure in allowing this dog to languish and suffer a slow death.

Ty is in our Medical Dept., above, being treated for the wounds of his face …. and his broken heart.
He has a happy optimistic personality and we look forward to a loving and love-filled future for `Ty'. File N-94872-M (Newark). If interested in being the caring person to provide that, please contact us and mention Ty's file number.
