The world is a cold and lonely place when you have no one to whom you can turn to for love, safety and comfort. And she needed that! She had missed some meals and had an advanced case of mange. The young lady is estimated to be abut 2 years old and needed continued medical care. She arrived at the Society in June and after several weeks of veterinary treatment, "Bernice" was put up for adoption.
She must have had a wonderful owner because she is a loving, trusting soul and had even been spayed. But she had no microchip or tag and that is sooooo important. She may have been given or sold to a new owner or was lost, stolen or strayed but without any identification, our search has ended. Now she is available for adoption to a forever home. Bernice is Miss Congeniality of our Forked River shelter! File L-19788-SF (Forked River).
