A discounted spay/neuter clinic for all cats will be held at Associated Humane Societies Popcorn Park Animal Clinic, Tuesday, October 5.

The clinic is open by appointment to healthy house, outdoor and feral cats. Approximately 25 openings are available for the clinic that day.
Cost is $100 for spaying and $50 for neutering. Vaccines and FELV/FIV tests will be offered at discounts prices and microchips at their regular prices.
“The number of kittens being born this year and brought to our shelters is greater than I’ve ever seen it,” said Roseann Trezza, Executive Director, Associated Humane Societies/Popcorn Park. “Maybe there are more feral cats in our region, or perhaps pet owners are becoming more complacent when it comes to spaying and neutering."
“People need to understand that they are not helping their cats by not having them spayed or neutered. If left unaltered, any cat will instinctively do anything it can to find a mate. In fact, hundreds of thousands of unwanted cats and kittens are euthanized nationwide each year because of the vast numbers of unplanned litters.“
Cats must be brought to the clinic in escape-proof carriers. The owner or guardian of the cat must have made an appointment in advance for the clinic. For appointments and specific instructions, please call Popcorn Park Animal Clinic at 609-693-6551.
