Meet this sweet 7 month old Pit Bull Terrier whose life with a Northern New Jersey family came to an abrupt end – through no fault of his own.

Police were called when an argument ensued after a family member found an emotionally disturbed teen-ager in a compromising situation with their male pit bull. When confronted by the family member, the teen-ager punched the dog in the face so as to give the impression that it was the dog’s fault.
Once the Police were called, it was then brought to the attention of the Health Dept., DYFS and a health facility where the teen was brought for voluntary psychological evaluation. The Society was then given possession of the dog.
Although pets may be therapeutic for emotionally disturbed children, there should also be an interventionist with children and adolescents. Using animals in the treatment of behavior, emotional disorders or anger can put the lives of animals at risk.
We call him Bayley – a very sweet, innocent 7 month old pup who needs to find a stable environment with a brand new family. File N-95913-M (Newark). If you can provide that loving home, please contact us.
All specific information regarding names and locations have been withheld due to the age of the adolescent.
