Society staffers visited Patrick on March 22nd. An animal lover brought a sweater for Patrick who has to go outside for his bathroom habits, as he will not go in his cage. When Patrick came in to Garden State Veterinary Specialists, he was given an ultrasound, was examined by an internist and a neurologist. Patrick is on antibiotics and pain meds. Dr. Scavelli at Garden State said that had Patrick not come in when he did, he would have died within 6-12 hours.
He is still painfully thin and receives bite-sized meals several times throughout the day and night. His cage is adorned with cards, hearts and signs -- and he knows he has captured the hearts of all who stop by his cage to say hello.
The Star Ledger came to visit Patrick also, and made the following video of him.
Please support Patrick's ongoing care through a donation to our ResQ-Fund. Thank you.
