We have news on several different fronts today regarding Patrick:
Our apologies to all who are looking forward to words of Patrick's progress. Today, he is being taken to the News12NJ offices where he will be appearing on News12NJ "The Pet Stop" hosted by Dr. Brian Voynick. Also on hand will be Dr. Lisa Bongiovanni, Associated Humane Societies' vet, who took care of Patrick as soon as he entered our doors, and was with him for the whole day until he was stabilized before he was transferred to Garden State Veterinary Specialists (GSVS). Also appearing with be Dr. Tom Scavelli of GSVS who oversees Patrick's care while at his critical care hospital.
Kisha Curtis, the alleged abuser of Patrick, was released on bail. Please take note that the Essex County Prosecutor's Office will not be accepting e-mail or phone calls concerning this cae. Anyone wishing to contact them can send a fax to Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray at 973-242-4901 or mail correspondence to her at 50 West Market St., Newark, N J 07102. Any correspondence should note that it is in regards to the Kisha Curtis/Patrick case.

Garden State Veterinary Services sent us the following this morning ... "Patrick has some free fluid in the abdomen and we wanted to make sure he did not have any cardiac issues. The amount of fluid is very small but we wanted to rule this out. Dr. Goodwin, the cardiologist says he thinks his heart is good but we will keep an eye on his medical condition. Since we have a number of specialists in our hospital, it is easy for Patrick to be evaluated for all of his medical concerns."
The Sweet Avenue Bake Shop in Rutherford Nj has been fundraising for Patrick. They are a gourmet, vegan cupcakery who started by selling red velvet cupcakes to raise funds for Patrick and, in addition to a personal donation to help him, are now selling dog cookies to help while supplies last.
