AHS/Popcorn Park Holds First Ever “Spring Fest”
FORKED RIVER, NJ –Associated Humane Societies/Popcorn Park invites all animal lovers and supporters to celebrate the season at the first "Spring Fest at Popcorn Park,” on Saturday, April 23.
“Spring is in bloom here. The animals who generally bunker down over the winter are stepping outside, enjoying the cool weather before the summer heat. It’s the best time of year for families to visit and learn about our many residents,” said General Manager John Bergmann. “And the fun events at the festival will make the day even more enjoyable for families.
The event runs from 11 to 3 at Popcorn Park, off West Lacey Rod, seven miles west of the Garden State Parkway. Something for everyone is planned with all proceeds going directly to Popcorn Park. There will be a bake sale, face painting and a visit by the Easter Bunny, himself.
Popcorn Park is located on Humane Way, off West Lacey Road, about seven miles west of the Garden State Parkway Exit 74. The refuge is open seven days a week, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on holidays. Admission is $5 for adults; $4 for seniors and children under 12; Children under 3 are free.
