During his first year of life in Tennessee, this handsome male Lab Retriever's leg was caught in a trap. According to the report we received, the young boy chewed his way out and was rescued by a local humane society. While at the humane society, he was adopted by an animal lover who eventually moved to NJ. After 4 years with his owner, she moved to an adult community where Conner was not allowed. Unfortunately, he was not given periodic check-ups and when he arrived at the Society, we found him to be heartworm positive. We are treating him and hope you will help by donating to his ResQ Fund.
The Society has established a ResQ Fund for the sole purpose of giving emergency, surgical or other intensive veterinary care to sick, injured and abused animals that come through our doors. Any funds donated that exceed the cost of Conner's care will be applied to others in need of surgical or intensive veterinary care.
The sweet dog is obedient, well mannered and waits for a second chance at happiness. He has been transferred to our Forked River facility where he is getting intensive medical care at Popcorn Park Medical Clinic.
