When you buy a ticket for Associated Humane Societies/Popcorn Park’s Chinese Auction on Saturday, October 15, you’re not only getting a chance to win some great prizes, you are also buying a new life for thousands of domestic, wild, exotic and farm animals from this fundraiser.
With a variety of prizes, including one-day Disney World Park Hopper Passes, Yankees memorabilia plaques and many others that make wonderful holiday gifts, this year’s auction promises something for everyone.
The two Yankees plaques are a collector’s dream – one of Babe Ruth and another of Joe DiMaggio, Billy Martin, Whitey Ford and Mickey Mantle, with their baseball cards surround the picture, these plaques are worth about $150 each.
The annual event for Associated Humane Societies/Popcorn Park will be at the BPO Elks Lodge, Clifton Avenue and Washington Street, Toms River. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the auction begins at 7 p.m. Entrance fee is $10 at the door. Food will be sold by the Elks.
Also up for grabs this year is a variety of toys, art work, home goods, crafts and items to pamper.
“What a great way to show your love for animals, support our ongoing efforts and have a fun evening out,” said Roseann Trezza, Executive Director, Associated Humane Societies/Popcorn Park. “We say, bring a friend and be a friend!”
