This 4 year old neutered male tiny terrier has suffered quite a miserable existence. Most of his life was spent living in a crate. His owners lived in Burlington County and it is believed that the dog had become an unwanted and bothersome nuisance. They brought him to Popcorn Park because he is "unsanitary for their children".
Although the owners would not advise why the eye was removed, they only said it was an accident". Besides being kept in a crate, he was thin, dirty with matted hair, and had a heavy flea infestation. As soon as he walked in our front door, he was given over to one of the staff who gave him a much-needed spa day of bathing and grooming in our mobile grooming van.
Society staffers found him to be amazingly sweet, and the pint-sized pooch was ready to give tons of love. As his owners walked out the door, we thought we saw Rocky doing the happy dance! He is at our Popcorn Park facility, 609-693-1900, contact us, or visit at Humane Way and Lacey Road in Forked River located off of Exit 74 of the Garden State Parkway. Popcorn Park is open 7 days a week. File 20991-NM.
