This handsome Mastiff type was either given away, stolen or strayed. He once had a hopeful heart but someone betrayed him and allowed him to be mauled by a dog. The Police rescued him from further danger and brought him to the Society's Newark shelter.
Frankie has a forgiving nature, and the injuries that made him suffer greatly have not dampened his enthusiasm for people ... dogs ... and even toys! Give him a toy .... and he is happy; give him another toy and he is ecstatic; present him with another toy and he will try to fit them all in his mouth! As can be seen in many of the pictures, he gathers them around so he can continue to play to his heart's content. He seeks small pleasures that put happiness in his heart.
He loves being brushed and is gentle while being walked on a lead. He has been in the Medical Dept. where he has been convalescing for several weeks. Thanks to your continued donations to our Res-Q Fund, we have taken the sad hurt look in his eyes and turned it into joy and hope. Please make a Res-Q Fund donation so we may continue to help animals in need like Frankie.
