5k Run the Pines for Canines

Get your running shoes on and a leash for your dog and join us for a great day for the animals!  Associated Humane Societies/Popcorn Park Volunteer Justin Rand is the organizer for a 5K Run the Pines for Canines set for Sat., June 9th from 9 a.m. Participants in the running race can bring and run with their dogs. All proceeds from the race will benefit the animals at Popcorn Park including domestic, wildlife, exotics, farm animals and birds.

Justin Rand and Penny, an emaciated Pitbull left at a night drop-box in Maryland that Popcorn Park has taken in and rehabilitated.

Race entry fee is $30.00 and comes with free admission to Popcorn Park and much, much more! Entry forms can be obtained at Popcorn Park, Lacey Twp. High School, Ultimate Gym and Fitness Center and more! Runners can also sign up online at Active.com.

Registration will be at the tents and registration tables at the Popcorn Park sign on Lacey Road. All will meet at Popcorn Park.

Popcorn Park would like to thank the following sponsors including Applebees for gift certificate, Wawa for donating drinks, Forked River House will provide food for the after-race party; Shop-Rite for providing food for after-race party, Camp Bow Wow will give free baths to any dogs that their owners have signed up at Camp Bow Wow; Lacey Pet Supply will be donating treats and a gift certificate. The Foundation for Wellness Professionals will be donating free chair massages to all participants!
