It was the first tropical system of the season, scattered strong storms, heavy rains -- and through it all, a sweet pit bull was sitting in an open wire cage at an Asbury Park residence. The AHS was contacted and an Animal Control Officer was dispatched to the scene. The dog was confiscated and a note was left on the door to advise the owner to contact AHS. To date, no one has called.
She was brought to the Society's Tinton Falls facility where she was given an immediate examination. The dog was undernourished, very hungry and dehydrated. All four paws were wet from standing and soaking in water. The matter was referred to the local spca. The dog has been named Snowflake.
For more information on Snowflake, contact us or call the Society's Tinton Falls shelter at 732-922-0100, and refer to File 69325-F. This sweet little girl deserves a responsible and caring owner. AHS is open 7 days a week for adoptions from 12 until 4. The Society is located at 2960 Shafto Road in Tinton Falls, near the Rt 33-34 Circle and off of Exit 102 A (Southbound) or Exit 100B (Northbound) on the Garden State Parkway.
Please make a donation to help us care for Snowflake and the many other dogs and cats we take in who need a far better life than the one they've been living.
