Max is a 10 year old Pekingese that was surrendered to the Society by a Newark resident as the wife was pregnant.

The middle-aged gent is a quiet, lovable dog who was somewhat confused and traumatized by the change in his living quarters. His deep concern was especially troubling since Max was blind in one eye and had advanced stage of glaucoma in the other eye. In addition to the foregoing, the aging Pekingese suffered from severe dental disease and an infected ear.
Through it all, Max has remained a loving, love-starved fella who had the eyes removed, multiple tooth extractions, neutering and treatment for his ears.
Thanks to donations to our Res-Q Fund veterinary care is an ongoing effort for Max and other needy animals that come through our doors. Your help is always needed and gratefully appreciated for such cases. Please donate today!
Max was sent to Popcorn Park where he is now waiting with great anticipation for a loving home. Popcorn Park is located on Humane Way off Lacey Road in Forked River (off of Exit 74 of the Garden State Parkway).
The Society is open 7 days a week. For more information, contact us or call 609-693-1900 and refer to File L-21460-NM.
