Meet Tiryli and Blindi -- two Shar Peis that were surrendered by their owner -- not unusual at the Society. Sadly, this breed, which has distinctive features of deep wrinkles, has potential health issues.
The 3 and 2 year old boys have entropion eyelids, an irritating and painful problem which is corrected by surgery. If this is not addressed, it could result in the loss of sight. Due to the small ear canals, frequent cleaning is often necessary to avoid ear infections.
Now -- we have addressed all of the health problems -- the eyes, skin, neutering, etc. -- thanks to continued support of our Res-Q Fund. Now they are ready for adoption! The twosome are extremely sweet and affectionate. If you are nterested in the breed and have any questions, contact us or call - 609-693-1900 - the Society will be able to assist you to ensure that Tiryli and Blindi, 3 years and 2 years respectively, will be welcomed into a lifetime of love.
