Reward Offered for Rescue of Cat

The Society was alerted to an anonymous e-mail concerning a cat kept tied up by wire in the basement of an apartment building. The building is located in the Ironbound section of Newark. The matter is presently under further investigation and a court date has been set. We therefore cannot go into great detail about the horrendous conditions or the details of the case. At this point, we have been advised that the person who kept this cat "threw it out into the streets".

The cat had no food, no water and the ears were corroded with ear mites. Our only concern is that if the cat has been thrown into the streets, so we are offering a $2,000 reward for the live rescue of this cat to the Associated Humane Societies. Anyone who has additional information, can call DJ Infield at 973-824-7080 or contact us via e-mail.
