In March, 2010 the Associated Humane Societies was called upon to investigate a home in Belleville where a woman had collected 425 birds and kept them in the most deplorable conditions. The video and still footage from this on-site investigation was utilized in a video created by In Defense of Animals on the subject of the unseen suffering of birds collected by hoarders. It's called: Parrot Hoarding - the Hidden Epidemic.
