It was midnight when the Society was called by the Newark Police to rescue three pit bulls, one of which had been viciously stabbed. There was no known assailant. The injured female was immediately brought to the Animal Emergency and Referral Associates in Fairfield, NJ.
The veterinarians took care of her and she was returned to the Associated Humane Societies Newark facility. From her condition, it appears that she was used as a breeder. "Nicky" has displayed a loving, eager-to-please personality. The mild mannered miss bears no ill will or fear of humans. She deserves kindness and care and not to be exploited or abused. Pleae refer to File N-19710-F (Newark) when inquiring about Nicky.
Thanks to the Society's Res-Q Fund, your kindness helps us to continue and enable us to save sick, injured and abused animals so that they may continue to live loving lives. Please donate to our Res-Q Fund today so we can continue helping dogs like Nicky.
