Tye of Irvington

tye of irvington

Tye has been through so much since coming to us in January, 2020 from Irvington, NJ when he was found as a neglected stray puppy.  The shy and sweet Cane Corso was so thin and had bilateral cherry eyes, and he practically crawled to new people because he was just so scared.  With lots of love and attention from our staff, Tye learned to trust again and came out of his shell.  He put weight on and he underwent surgery to repair his cherry eyes too.  Tye was finally ready for a home and was adopted by a wonderful previous adopter.  Sadly, Tye decided that he wanted to be the only pet in the home, so he was returned a short time later.

Tye was later adopted again but this time, his adopters had second thoughts about caring for a large dog and returned him.  Tye came back with an injured hind leg that was caused by a severely luxating patella.  At less than a year old, Tye underwent his second major surgery!  Tye is now on a strict regiment of restricted exercise, and has many weeks of physical therapy ahead of him.  We've added this big, lovable lug to our Share-A-Pet program in the meantime, so he can get a little extra attention from some great sponsors.  He's such a giant silly puppy that loves being with people, and visiting with some nice sponsors sure would help in his recovery!  Please consider becoming Tye's newest sponsor!
