Hero 49867

After a successful recovery, our friend Hero is ready to find himself a forever home! If you remember, Hero was found on the streets of Newark emaciated, abused and left to fend for himself. He came to our shelter very scarred up, and with new open and infected wounds. After spending weeks at our shelter under supervised vet care, Hero has gained 17 lbs and is free of infection! This boy is now ready to find a place to call home. Hero would love to find an adult only family with a fenced in yard where he can roam of his own accord. This handsome 1 year old pup would need a pet free family where he can decompress and get used to being taken care of, as we imagine Hero has never known a loving hand before coming to our shelter. A patient and understanding family willing to work with him with some sound sensitivity, and weariness with strangers. Given his past, Hero is not one to trust quickly but his large heart has the potential for so much love! Hero is just looking for a place to finally call home, if you'd like to meet him and our other dogs available for adoption please call us at (973) 824-7080
