Associated Humane Societies
& Popcorn Park

Captain is a big, beautiful hound/lab mix of about 5 years old that would was turned in by his family who said that he needed more time than they could give him. Captain just doesn't know what to make of being in a shelter so if you come to see him and he barks at you, don't be put off by that. Ask to meet him outside and you'll see what a giant mush he is. He takes a minute to check out new people and once he sniffs you out, he'll be sitting on your feet, gazing up at you for attention and flopping on his back for some belly rubs. Captain is very well behaved and walks perfectly on a leash, takes treats gently, and sits and offers you a pawshake if you ask. He gets along fine with other dogs and kids and would love a home where he gets exercise and plenty of attention, as his former owners said that he gets separation anxiety when left alone for extended periods. You will love this big lug as soon as you meet him!
