Pepper of Newark

Pepper is a beautiful, middle-age little lady that was rescued from the streets of Newark, NJ in May, 2018. With her bright and bubbly personality and never-ending tail wag, Pepper got herself noticed by an adoptive family quickly. Sadly, it was discovered during Pepper's adoption exam that she was heartworm positive and even though AHS was going to cover the costs of all treatment, the adopters no longer wanted Pepper. She underwent several months of treatment to cure the deadly disease and now Pepper is happy & healthy! She is such a love that makes friends easily with both people and other dogs, and she is so deserving of a great home. Until she finds that great home, Pepper has been added to our Share-A-Pet program to get some extra lovin' from some good sponsors.
