Freedom 29147

freedom 29147

Next month will mark one year since we rescued Freedom from a yard filled with garbage and debris. He was found tied to the bumper of a car, emaciated, without shelter, food or water. Unfortunately Freedom's owner thought this was suitable living conditions and took us to court to try to get him back. Freedom spent the next 10 months on a court hold, which meant he couldn't go out with volunteers and he couldn't be adopted. Fortunately for Freedom, his owner was not able to reclaim him and he is now officially ready for the forever home he truly deserves. Freedom is about 7 years young, he's sweet, affectionate and people focused. He is also very food motivated, as you can see he has put on a few pounds and looks quite different from the starving dog that arrived last March. Freedom sat on command and accepted treats gently from our fingers. He had no issues being handled as he ate from his food bowl. Freedom was relaxed and comfortable with the male and female dogs he met outside. Over the past 11 months, Freedom has made some great friends here at the shelter, including our ACO Tom who rescued him from that junk yard last year. Although we are definitely going to miss this boy, nothing would make us happier than seeing him in a warm, loving, forever home. Stop by to meet our amazing boy Freedom.

Check out the video of Freedom, then come in and meet him!
