Humane News

June is Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat Month, so we have turned our spotlight on our feline friends – those we’ve rescued from a hoarding situation, our cover story, as well as those who have come to each of our shelters and are now looking for your love and lap. (Still plenty of dogs, too.)  You’ll find this and so much more in our June issue, Volume 50, No.3.

Catch up on the news – proposals for our wild horse and burro population out West; how you can help the humble bumblebee, under siege from numerous environmental causes; and about the endangered Pangolin, a victim of worldwide trafficking. Take a look at What’s on Your Plate? – we think you might want to know! Updates on legislation in New Jersey, Society events you want to attend, plus so much more.

And what about our rescues? Plenty of those – Rumpel and Mila, given a new chance at a better life, wait for you; 37 beautiful cats and kittens, left in an apt. when the owner passed on; a lovely pair of senior-citizens that need another chance; and … a magnificent hawk! Read about how some of our past front-page stories have found their happy-ever-afters! Please be sure to look in on our many wonderful cats and dogs waiting for their forever homes, as well as those needing your sponsorship. Have you met Angel, our newest pig? Or Spikette, our little rescued spiny-tailed lizard?
