Spaghetti- Found Wandering With a Giant Mass on Her Leg

Sometimes we get a dog or cat that comes through our doors and we are at a total loss for words.  One employee says to another, "did you see the new dog with the mass on her leg?".  The other employee just looks down sadly, and both have nothing to say.  It's so sad to see how cruel and neglectful humans can be but as sad as we are about it, imagine how that animal feels, living with pain, suffering, wondering if anyone will ever help them.

That has to be how Spaghetti felt when she wandered around the city of Roselle with a giant mass hanging from her leg, leaking infection, a mass on her mammary gland that was rupturing, and yet another uncomfortable mass at the base of her tail.  Thankfully, she wandered to a place of business where a worker there spotted her and brought her to AHS- Newark for help.  Spaghetti was evaluated in the medical department where bloodwork was taken and she was found to be anemic and have an upper respiratory infection, on top of everything else.  She was later transferred to AHS/Popcorn Park to continue on with her medical treatment.

Spaghetti has a fun name because she's a fun dog, despite it all!  She's around 5 years old and even in the state she's in, she is so happy to make new friends, toss some toys around, and wiggle her whole back end when you pet her.  This sweet girl will undergo surgery to remove her many masses just as soon as she is healthy enough, and we're looking forward to the day when she gets a clean bill of health and can begin her search for a wonderful home.  In the meantime, please make a donation to our ResQ Fund on her behalf and for more info, call 609-693-1900 or email:  office@ahsppz.org and refer to File#45892.  Thanks so much for your support for Spaghetti!
