cano and tyler- neglected beyond belief

How anyone can sit idly by and watch as their pets become horribly overgrown and filthy is beyond us.  Cano and Tyler were the latest victims of such neglect and they sure didn't deserve it.  Cano, a 6 year old Shih Tzu, and Tyler, a 10 year old Yorkie, were brought to our Newark facility, cramped into a tiny crate together in deplorable condition.  Their owner threw down a ten dollar bill to surrender the two neglected boys and walked away.  For Cano and Tyler, this was probably the best day of their lives, because it meant they would finally get the help that they desperately needed.

Cano and Tyler could hardly be examined by the veterinarian due to their coats being so overgrown and their skin being so painful to the touch.  They went for a long, well-deserved spa day with Newark groomer, Sandy, who gently removed the years worth of neglect from these poor little souls.  The boys could hardly believe how good they felt when all of the mats, dirt, and feces were removed from their little bodies, and they've been ecstatic ever since!

Cano and Tyler were transferred to AHS/Popcorn Park where they are recuperating from their ordeal, and are ready for a great home with a family that will love and care for them, and never let them suffer again.  Cano is a bouncy and bubbly little guy that trots around his older buddy, getting him to play and keeping an eye on him.  Tyler is nearly blind so he needs keeping an eye on, but he's such a sweet and lovable little guy.  Both boys adore people, and they love each other, so they'll need a home where they can stay together forever.  If you're interested in these two sweeties, call 609-693-1900 or email:  office@ahsppz.org and refer to File# 46407/08.  Please consider making a donation to our ResQ Fund on their behalf.  Thanks so much for your support!
