This sad-faced Shepherd is named Princess - but she wasn't treated very royally. The family adopted her as an adorable pup but as children were added to the family, the dog was relegated to living outdoors … alone and away from the children and no longer considered a family member.
For 10 years, she has lived a life of solitude. Now the family is losing their home and Princess was brought to us. Her heart is broken … but it seems like it was broken a long time ago.
Now Princess had a spa day at our Forked River shelter and she is warm and clean tonight. She is interacting and enjoying the friendship of staffers who will treat her with love, kindness and respect.
If you would like to help us to help the hundreds of needy animals that come through our doors each month, please contribute to make this a holiday that they will enjoy.
The owners deprived her of a life of love -- a life she was willing to give to them of loyalty, obedience and companionship.
For more information on Princess, call the Society at 609-693-1900 and refer to File 23108 or e-mail us. She is at Popcorn Park along with many other beautiful dogs and cats just waiting to share their holiday with you.
