VESTED INTEREST FUND STILL PROVIDING
FOR WORKING K9’S
Previous Recipient Kobe from Washington Twp. Morris County, NJ
Newark, NJ – Associated Humane Societies’ Vested Interest Program is actively seeking departments, within New Jersey, who have a working K-9 needing a protective vest. We are also looking for departments who may have previously received body armor and the warranty is now expired. Since 1997 Vested Interest has been providing vests and over 1800 have been purchased and distributed. This is such an important piece of equipment for any working dog and there is absolutely no need for any K-9 officer to go out to work each day without protective gear, when a program such as Vested Interest exists and is a mere phone call away.
The Society would love to hear from existing K-9 departments or those starting a K-9 unit who are interested in protective armor for their service dog. Contact us by phone at (973)-824-7080 or by e-mail.
The vest we purchased is manufactured by International Armor in California and has a cost of $825.00. It is a combo vest; bullet and stab resistant, and the one most requested. Donations to the Vested Interest Fund can be made through our website or send to Vested Interest Fund, Associated Humane Societies, 124 Evergreen Avenue, Newark, N.J. 07114
This is a dedicated fund and all donations are used solely for the purchase of K-9 vests.
