Van Gogh Update - Feb.16



Vinnie has such personality these days, he just keeps us laughing non-stop! It's so amazing to see the progress that he has made in just a couple of weeks. We did nothing but cry for him when we first carried him through our doors and laid him down in front of our veterinarian, Dr. Baris. Now, with all of the outstanding medical care that she has been giving him, combined with lots of love, prayers, and hope, we cry no more. Now, Vinnie is getting back to being a silly puppy. He's smiling, wagging his tail, and we do nothing but smile when we're with him. We honestly did not want to get our hopes up for young Vinnie when he first came in. He was in such critical condition that we didn't know if he would survive. We are confidant now that Vinnie will indeed survive, but he still has a whole lot of healing to do. Vinnie is feeling better and his spirits are definitely lifted, but he still has a rough road ahead of him. Several of his wounds are healing well, but his major wounds have a long way to go, and he will need surgery in the future when his infections have cleared. He is on his way though, and we want to thank you all for your support, well wishes, and donations for Vinnie. It all helps more than you know. Just one example of how you are helping: We are using a wound and infection care spray on Vinnie's many wounds, twice a day. We are going through about a bottle of this every 5 days or so. This spray is close to $40.00 a bottle. We added this item to our Amazon Wish List and you kind people sent us 5 bottles already!!

This helps so much, and we can't tell you how much we appreciate it. We are a non-profit and our funding comes mostly through donations, so every little bit helps. If you would like to contribute toward Vinnie's care, and the care of so many other animals in need like Vinnie, please donate to our Res-Q Fund.
