Van Gogh - Update March 20

Our little buddy Vinnie Van Gogh is doing very well after the major surgery that he had just two days ago but really, would you expect any less from this strong boy? We know that Vinnie can take anything that life throws at him, and he keeps that tail wagging all the while. We sure wish that Vinnie didn't have to go through this surgery, but it was definitely necessary to ensure that he leads a full and healthy life.

Vinnie is being kept very comfortable with pain medications and lots of large, fluffy pillows and blankets. He is a little perturbed that his giant suite has been cut down to a studio apartment, but we explained to him that this is only temporary. While Vinnie's doctors do want him to take several short walks daily to help that hip heal, they do not want him to injure himself inadvertently with having too much space to roam around. We will be expanding Vinnie's space back to his giant bachelor pad just as soon as he is more stable on his feet.

We would again like to thank Dr. Weinstein and the staff at North Star Vets for doing a fantastic job with our little boy Vinnie. And as always, we want to thank all of you for your thoughts, prayers and concern for Vinnie, and also for helping us to get this much needed surgery for Vinnie by contributing to our Res-Q Fund. The need for this fund just never ends, unfortunately, and we are so grateful that we have it in place for our special needs animals like Vinnie. To continue helping, please make a donation. We woould also like to thank all of you for your concern for all of our special needs cases lately. We have had quite a few in the last couple of months, and the outpouring of well wishes for all of our pets in need has been overwhelming. Thank you all for caring so much.

Please stay tuned for more updates on all of our wonderful animals and of course, for more on the Invincible Vinnie.
