Van Gogh - April16 -Surgeries Completed!

We are so very happy to announce that our little buddy Vinnie Van Gogh is DONE with surgeries! His hip surgery on Monday went very well and his surgeon, Dr. Weinstein at North Star Vets, is very optimistic that he will make a full recovery. Vinnie needed the femoral head removed from his hip since it was broken in the attack that he endured. He had surgery on the other hip about four weeks ago and now that all of his surgery is behind him, Vinnie will start water therapy in a few weeks. Although it's a long way off, we are all looking forward to the day when Vinnie can run, jump and play just like any other normal, healthy pup his age.

We can't thank you all enough for your support for Vinnie over the last couple of months, and for following him along on his journey. You all have watched our little guy come back to life, and we thank you all so much for helping us to bring him back to life! Your donations to our Res-Q Fund are what has made this all possible, not just for Vinnie, but for so many like him. Thank you, and if you would like, please contribute to our Res-Q Fund.

We were so happy to pick Vinnie up from the hospital and he was pretty happy to see us as well! He needed a lot of help with walking out to the car, but the doctor wants him up and walking right away, in order to strengthen that hip and keep it moving. He stayed with one of his "mom's" tonight, and he will be back in action on Wednesday, visiting his cat friends, loving up all of our staff members, and enjoying life as Vinnie does every day. The last picture in this video is of Vinnie tonight, already chewing on his stick and making himself comfy. Nothing can keep Vinnie down!

Thank you all again and please stay tuned for more from the Invincible Vinnie!
