JoJo - Update Feb.22nd

Remember little JoJo? Well, look at him now! He's all healed up and ready to move on to a wonderful home of his own. His story was a sad one but we are confidant that now, JoJo will have the happy ending that he deserves. Read his original post here.

JoJo was found in mid-December by an AHS animal control officer after the 9 year old cairn terrier was hit by a car. The little guy was in bad shape and was rushed off to an emergency veterinary hospital where it was discovered that JoJo suffered a broken pelvis in the accident. Once he was stabilized and made comfortable, JoJo moved down to our AHS- Tinton Falls facility for further medical treatment.

JoJo underwent extensive medical evaluation by an orthopedic specialist and it was determined that the best thing for him would be strict cage rest for several weeks then possible surgery. He took up residence in the medical department at Tinton Falls and immediately became the little sidekick of his favorite lady, Dr. Emily Marion. Once JoJo completed his many weeks of cage rest, he revisited the specialist who was very happy to report that he would not need surgery after all. He is now ready to start life over again with a loving family of his own.

JoJo is such a little sweetheart but when he first meets new people, he can be a bit shy and standoffish. Just give him some time and he'll be your best buddy, as he is to all of the ladies that have been caring for him for so long now. You can meet JoJo at our AHS-Tinton Falls facility located at 2960 Shafto Road and if you have any questions about him, please email us or call 732-922-0100.

JoJo would like to thank all of you for helping him in his time of need. Thanks to the kindness and generosity of our supporters, he was able to get the critical care that he needed and made it through his ordeal like a little trooper. Our Res-Q Fund is what helped our little friend JoJo, and it will help so many more like him in the future. You can help by making a donation to our Res-Q Fund, or by texting HumaneHelp to 41444 . Thank you, and little JoJo thanks you too!
