There is always so much going on about animals - great progress and difficult problems. We write about it all so you can be in the know with our June 2017 issue of the Humane News - Volume 48, No. 3.
So much is changing around the world for animals even down to a conviction for horribly cruel handling of a live lobster to the end of greyhound racing in Australia. But much more needs to be done and help is needed for sharks being finned, farm animals, manatees and so many more. The ugliness of cockfighting and cruelty to dogs who suffer terribly in abandoned buildings in the inner city continues, and AHS is often called to handle these problems. Read about several of these in our cover stories and how AHS makes a difference.

We also have plenty of Happy Endings for those now lucky dogs who came to us in need, and an extra special section of cats for this June's Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat Month, all needing a loving home. There are new additions to the Share-A-Pet program, and many great dogs needing your love as well. And don't forget to visit our Events page - lots going on and we hope you'll join us for fun and raising funds to help the animals. We also welcome two new tigers at Popcorn Park!
That's not even all that's included in this issue, but you have to read and take a look!
