Noelle - Helpless Blind Cat Keeping Kittens Together

It was early April when this tiny little lady came to us in the hopes of getting a fresh start in life. Noelle was just five pounds when she was trapped by a local resident and brought to us with her four little kittens. Her kittens were a few weeks old, which meant that tiny Noelle was raising them out in the cold, all by herself, blind. Yes, Noelle is completely blind, but she didn't let that stop her from being a wonderful mom to her little ones and keeping them safe and well nourished.

Noelle and her kittens were immediately given good meals and comfy beds, and checked out by our veterinarian upon arrival. The kittens were found to have some parasites but were in otherwise good health, all things considered. A foster stepped up to take in the kittens but little Noelle stayed behind. She was treated for some malnourishment and an upper respiratory infection but through it all, she just couldn't be any sweeter. It's amazing that this tiny cat that not only doesn't know us, but also cannot see us, was just so trusting, warm, and loving. She lived a tough life up until she came to us but she didn't let that stop her from just loving people, and wanting to be loved herself.

Noelle has a clean bill of health now and is ready to start over in a happy home of her own. She is only around 2 years old and while she will need a patient home with a family that will give her time to get acclimated to her new surroundings, her blindness doesn't prevent her from enjoying life to the fullest. She will need a safe and easy to navigate home with a family that will take good care of her. Noelle seems just fine with other well behaved cats too.

Please consider opening your heart and home to this pretty lady. File#27154. For more information, call us at 609-693-1900 or e-mail njhumane2@aol.com about Noelle.

If you would like to donate to Noelle and the number of cats and kittens that arrive daily, please feel free to contribute to our Res-Q Fund.
