Past history is a predictor of future behavior and it certainly proved to be accurate with an Orange, NJ tenant.
Two years ago, Orange Animal Control Officer Rudy Giordano was called to a residence where dogs were kept in bare surroundings and poor condition. The ACO discussed the quality of life for these dogs and after a discussion, his wife signed ownership of the pit bulls to the Associated Humane Societies where they were put up for adoption.
Fast forward to this date, ACO Giordano received complaints concerning the illegally stark junkyard-strewn area in which three dogs were kept. It was the same owner -- and kept under similar conditions as in the past. Their needs were simple -- but not met. The three dogs were subjected to the heat, rain, flystrikes, taunts, mischief, possible theft and more. Lack of shelter, proper food/water, security and more.
- Ciro is a 5 year old male who had most of the flystrikes that made his life totally miserable. #25122
- Calista is a 6 year old female pit bull. #25121
- Cutie is a 1 year old pup who has been seen by our evaluators and totally ecstatic to have any human attention and companionship. #25123
It is not known how the owner came into possession of the dogs -- stolen, stray, but they deserve so much more than what a previous owner had intended for them.
The owner of the dogs have signed ownership to these 3 dogs who are now available for adoption. Animal Control Officer Giordano has signed Complaints against the owner of the dogs. Your donation will help as we help them through the "system" of inoculations, medical care, spay/neuter, microchip, etc.
