When Rocky and P-Nut first came to the Society, we offered the pair for adoption, hoping that some loving soul would come forward and adopt them together. That was quite a few years ago. At the time, Rocky walked with a severe limp due to a paralyzed paw. The pair waited and waited, and because of their devotion to each other, we placed them on the Share-A-Pet program. So he would have a better quality of life, we removed Rocky's front leg, and he adjusted well without the deformed paw. Although up in years now, they would still love to have their few years left basking in the love of a real home.
2/15/06 - Since the time the original article above was written, P-Nut, on the left, has passed away of old age. Rocky really misses his friend, and if you would like to sponsor him, please read more about his current situation.
