Newark Mom and Pups Find Haven with Us

Shortly after dawn, an elderly Newark resident found this all-female family on heavily-traveled Broad St. in Newark. The good samaritan brought the lost ladies to the Society's Newark shelter where he waited until staff started showing up for work. Judging from their demeanor they were frightened, timid ..... and within a few minutes, discovered to be very hungry and very thirsty.

Mom is about 6-8 years old and had obviously been allowed to continually breed. Now Mom deserves rest and relaxation -- after Patti, Maxine and Laverne find new homes. If Mom doesn't find a forever home, she will be placed on our Animal Haven Farm for sponsorship in our Share-A-Pet program. File N-63332-F (Mom) and File 63333-F, File 63334-F and File 63335-F for her three pups.

UPDATE! As of August 15, 2007, all these sweet ladies have been adopted into loving homes!!
