FORKED RIVER, NJ – Animals at Associated Humane Societies/Popcorn Park Zoo’s Forked River Animal Care Center have a new friend and advocate. Dr. Amy Nalven, DVM, has joined the staff to bolster and enhance the center’s already top-notch veterinary services.
Dr. Nalven examines Matty, who is getting ready to be adopted into his new home.
The additional staff veterinarian now paves the way for the public to take advantage of the quality veterinary care offered through AHS at the Forked River center, explained Roseann Trezza, Executive Director, AHS/Popcorn Park.
“The animals at all three of our centers are deserving of the best veterinary care available. That’s why we are so happy to have Dr. Nalven as part of our team,” Ms. Trezza said. “And now that we have another veterinarian on our staff we can offer these professional services to all loving pet owners, oftentimes at a much lower cost than that of a privately owned veterinary hospital.”
Dr. Nalven received her veterinary degree from Cornell University Veterinary School and her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University. She interned at Garden State Veterinary Specialists and previously worked at Ocean County Veterinary Hospital. She is the proud owner of two very sweet pit bulls, Halsey and Mack.
