This pathetic skeletal dog had almost given up on life....until a Plainfield Police Officer found him while working and contacted the Associated Humane Societies. He was found, barely surviving on a very busy road in the town. Our thanks go to the Plainfield Police Officer who wasted no time in getting help.
Unfortunately, there was no identification tag or microchip to help us find his home so we have named him Sherman. He is estimated to be about 7 or 8 years old, with cloudy eyes and labored breathing. We brought this weak boy to the our Medical Dept for much-needed care and attention. Sherman is scheduled for a medical work-up to include x-rays and blood tests.
Thanks to the wonderful efforts of our donors, our Res-Q Fund was there to help us give Sherman a chance at health and happiness. For more information, call the Society at 973-824-7080 and refer to File116023 or contact us by email.
The Society is located at 124 Evergreen Ave. in Newark, just off of Rt. 22, 3 blocks before the Elizabeth line. Help us to help the thousands of needy strays that come through our doors with a donation to the Res-Q Fund.
