Pearl - Emaciated and Nursing Puppies

When needy, sick and injured strays arrive at the Society's doors, in most cases there is no information or history to connect what occurred to cause the sickness/injuries and their condition.

A helpless mom with two puppies -- all in need. Mom was emaciated with skin problems and soreness and irritation to her nipples. Both of her puppies were suffering with burns to their back as we have seen in similar incidents in the past.

Pearl and her two babies, Pippa and Porter are in our Medical Dept. where they are overseen by the veterinary staff and given the necessary treatment on a daily basis.

Thanks to the Res-Q Fund, the donations are used for the upkeep of our medical staff, as well as outside veterinary specialists. This fund is in constant use and depleted quickly. Please help us to help these helpless dogs (and cats) in dire need. We do not receive any funds for medical care from the towns in which we service.

Pearl and her pups are at the Society's Newark facility. For more information, call the Society at 973-824-7080 and refer to File 117105 or e-mail us.

New updates will be featured on our website,www.ahscares.org or "like" us on Facebook.
