It's a special heartwarming issue you'll really enjoy! Check out the Humane News -- our latest issue - February 2011, Volume 42, No. 1.
In spite of a frightening economy and in the midst of a terribly cold winter, we're saving lives and warming hearts left and right. Our Happy Endings pages feature the lucky animals who were adopted from AHS and found new and loving homes. This includes the kitty who was being abused by some boys and had been burned. Now named Sundance - or Sunny D - he's livng a life filled with great care, love and devotion.
And hoping to soon be Happy Endings are our cover dogs - Bethany, Madonna and Smokey Joe - each one suffering in a different way, alone and left to fend for themselves, severely ill or close to death. Wait until you see them now! Perhaps you'll be part of their Happy Ending!
You'll also enjoy the many wonderful stories and photos of kids who've made a difference on the Junior Pages, dedicated volunteers who've helped Society orphans find forever homes at Adoption Days, and kind and generous individuals and businesses who raised funds for and donated time to AHS and Popcorn Park
And there's lots of news - get the latest information regarding the rise in stolen pets, the Vested Interest Fund, health concerns, and news and legislation both locally and globally. Meet new Share-A-Pets and some longtime residents at Popcorn park - all would love sponsors. And then - don't forget the many wonderful cats and dogs at our three facilities hoping for homes. It's Valentine's Day soon - why not look for your sweetheart in the pages of the Humane News?
